The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff (where available) and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time. It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.

(09:43) Inverness: Icy stretches on some roads, gritters out treating all routes.
(09:13) Skye and Raasay: No winter action. Positive road surface temperatures throughout area.
(08:53) East Ross-Shire: Roads turned very icy this morning as daylight came in. Treatment ongoing on Priority 1 and 2 routes.
(08:51) Caithness: Positive temperatures this morning no action and no over night issues reported
(08:47) Nairn: Treating routes by priority. Temperatures rising. Roads mainly damp. Frost and some icy patches on high routes.
(08:47) Sutherland: Mainly damp roads. Patrolled Struie Hill and treated as necessary.
(08:31) Badenoch and Strathspey: Checking and treating all routes as required. South roads mainly damp. North roads mainly frosty, ice in places.
(08:03) Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh: Road surface temperatures well above zero - damp roads - no over night issues
