Highland Road Conditions Report – Thursday 25 January 2024
The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time. It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.

Highland Road Conditions Report for Thursday 25 January 2024 are as follows:
Skye and Raasay
06:36 - Positive road temperatures, no winter action. No overnight issues.
Inverness
08:44 - Some cold roads this morning but temperatures rising, roads treated in Tomatin and Leys area. No known issues.
Badenoch and Strathspey
06:46 - Negative road surface temperatures throughout the area this morning with temps rising. Primary and Secondary routes being treated. No known overnight issues.
Nairn
06:44 - Negative road surface temperatures on higher ground. Primary and Secondary routes being treated. No winter action on lower routes required. No known overnight issues.
Lochaber
07:55 – Road surface temperatures recovered quicker than expected this morning. One primary route patrolled. No other road issues on the network.
Wester Ross
09:10 – Wind settled after Storm Jocelyn. Road surface temperatures are up this morning. No overnight issues reported.
Caithness
08:04 – Primary routes are damp with positive road surface temperatures, treating some secondary routes as a precaution. No other known issues reported.
Ross & Cromarty East
09:19 – No issues temperatures higher than forecast, roads are wet. All primary and secondaries checked. No overnight issues to report.
