Highland Winter Road Conditions Report - 14 February 2024
The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time. It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.

Highland Road Conditions Report for Wednesday, 14 February 2024 are as follows:
Nairn
06:52 – Dry roads with the odd frost patch on higher routes. Primary and Secondary routes being treated and no known overnight issues.
Badenoch and Strathspey
06:50 - Frost and ice paths across the network this morning. Dry roads as temperatures higher than forecast. Primary and Secondary routes being treated with no known overnight issues.
Caithness
08:34 - Main roads damp, all side roads affected by white frosts and icy patches which are being treated. Footpaths all clear and no issues reported.
Sutherland
08:20 - Mainly damp roads with the odd sparkle in places with hoar frost on some of the higher routes. No known overnight issues.
Inverness
06:14 - Grey frost stretches on some high roads, gritters starting to treat rural routes.
Ross and Cromarty East
07:45 - Negative road surface temperatures with a further dip at daylight, grey frost on majority of dry roads. All primary and secondary routes being checked and treated this morning with no issues reported. No overnight issues.

North Kessock Primary Nursery: Closed
