By-election voters urged to check their poll cards
ISSUED ON BEHALF OF THE RETURNING OFFICER
The Highland Council is asking anyone intending to cast their vote in person in the upcoming Inverness South Ward 19 by-election to check their poll card carefully as the location of some polling stations may have changed.
Poll cards have been posted out to eligible voters and these confirm the location of where people need to go on Thursday 11 April 2024 to cast their vote. The following seven polling places will be open from 7am until 10pm.
- Balloch Primary School
- Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis (Gaelic School)
- Cradlehall Primary School
- Inshes Church of Scotland
- Milton of Leys Primary School
- Strathdearn Village Hall (Strathdearn Hub)
- Strathnairn Hall (Daviot)

If any voters who usually vote in person are unable to do so for any reason, they can apply for either a postal vote or appoint a proxy, which is appointing someone to vote on their behalf.
The latest time to apply for a postal vote for this by-election is 5pm tomorrow (Tuesday 26 March) and the deadline for anyone wishing to appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf is 5pm on Wednesday 3 April.

- Arun Sharma - Scottish Green Party
- Ron Stevenson - Scottish Labour Party
