Grab your partners for the Inverness Big Top Ceilidh
Highland Council is delighted to announce that this year a Big Top Ceilidh is coming to the Inverness Highland Games at Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 13 July 2024.
Provost Campbell Sinclair said: “Join us for a traditional Highland ceilidh. Your visit to the Inverness Games and to the Highlands would not be complete if you didn’t take part in a ceilidh.
“Ceilidhs are gatherings for people to enjoy traditional music, have a dance and enjoy themselves. You will learn some of the great ceilidh dances – the Gay Gordons, Strip the Willow and the Eightsome reel. This will be one of the best nights you can have in Scotland.”
Tickets go on sale, Wednesday 10 April 2024 on the Inverness Highland Games website at: https://invernesshighlandgames.com/big-top-evening-ceilidh/. Tickets are priced at £15 per person.
Provost Campbell Sinclair added: “This year’s ceilidh has been support by EventScotland’s National Events Programme and on behalf of Inverness Events and Festivals we give a huge thank you to EventScotland for their funding and support.”
Paul Bush OBE, Director of Events, VisitScotland said: “We are proud to be supporting Inverness Highland Games, as part of EventScotland’s National Events Programme. This event is the biggest Highland Games staged in the North of Scotland and the Big Top Ceilidh is a fantastic addition to their packed programme.
“The Games attracts thousands of visitors to the Highland Capital and is a much-loved event for locals. Authentic Scottish experiences like these are a key ingredient of our country’s vibrant events portfolio.”
