Contents of Viewfield Stables in Nairn

The Nairn Common Good Fund – for the purpose of investigating and carrying out property repairs – will shortly begin undertaking a clear-out of the contents of the Viewfield Stables in Nairn.

The Common Good Fund is aware that this property has had many uses throughout the last number of years and has increasingly become a general storage area for the Council itself, local businesses and community groups.  An inventory of items was recently compiled to help determine ownership, but little of value was noted.

Individuals, businesses and local groups who have previously made use of the Viewfield Stables – and believe items belonging to them may still be stored within the property – are invited to claim these before 24 May 2024.  Ownership will need to be established initially by contacting the Nairn Common Good Officer by e-mail, after which a suitable time for collection will be agreed.  In the first instance, please contact: common.good@highland.gov.uk

After 24 May 2024, in order to allow repair works to proceed, any remaining and unclaimed contents will be disposed of responsibly.  Local charities seeking to make use of any items recovered will be offered that opportunity and the process of emptying the contents will be subject to oversight by the Common Good Officer.
