Cromarty Firth Ward Forum To Look At Winter Maintenance Service
Members of the Cromarty Firth Ward, Councillors Michael Finlayson, Martin Rattray, Maxine Smith, and Carolyn Wilson, will be meeting with local Community Councils and Northern Constabulary and Council officials on Thursday 6th December for the area’s third Ward Forum. Members of the public are reminded that they too are welcome to attend.
In addition to discussions about community safety the meeting will focus on the winter maintenance service that the council provides. Cllr Finlayson said: “I know that many local people worry about winter maintenance on the roads especially at this time of year, so this is their chance to come and look in detail at our plans and Campbell Stewart, Area Roads & Community Works Manager, will be there to answer questions.”
The meeting on Thursday 6th December will be held in the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Chapel Road in Evanton. Although the main meeting starts at 7.30pm, Councillors and officials will be there from 7pm and tea and coffee will be provided.
Cllr Rattray is encouraging as many people as possible to attend. He said: “Although the Ward Forum is a formal meeting we always have a 20 minute question and answer session and we are also committed to being available from 7pm at the hall so people can speak to us about any issue they want to raise.”
