New Year, New Opportunities with Work. Life. Highland

A Highland-wide partnership launched earlier in 2024 to support people on their journey towards, into and within employment is looking forward to a New Year in 2025 full of exciting opportunities designed to help hundreds more people across the Highlands unlock their work potential.

Work. Life. Highland is the brand name for the Highland Employability Partnership (HEP) which brings together public, private and third sector partners together to provide clear and simple advice to individuals and employers about the support on offer.  This includes the Work. Life. Highland website www.worklifehighland.co.uk

Work. Life. Highland has a wide range of services on offer including helping you start work for the first time, going back to work after a break and advice for working parents on Universal Credit to progress their employment journey plus practical support including access to training and work experience.

Councillor Ken Gowans, Chair of the Economy and Infrastructure Committee said, “If one of your New Year’s resolutions for 2025 is you want a job and you are unsure how to achieve that goal, please visit the Work. Life. Highland website and send us your details.  Likewise, if you are a working parent in receipt of Universal Credit and are keen to discuss what is available to help you grow your household income the message is the same – please get in touch.”

“Once you have made contact, a member of our team will get back in touch to discuss your goals and discuss options suited to your circumstances.”

“As well as individuals we are always keen to hear from employers who are willing to help somebody on their employment journey and in 2025, we are particularly keen to engage with community organisations across the Highlands who we can work with to ensure that as many people as possible can access the opportunities that Work. Life. Highland has to offer.”

As well as the Work. Life. Highland website people can also get in touch via a freephone service on 0300 303 1570 or email directly to employ.ability@highland.gov.uk
