Notification of Improvement Works – Culloden Road
The Highland Council is preparing to carry out footway improvement works at Culloden Road, Inverness.
Chair of the Economy and Infrastructure Committee and Ward Councillor, Ken Gowans said: “I welcome the start of these works and over the project of improvement works we will be working closely with the contractor to keep disruption to a minimum.”
The scope of works will include footway improvement on Culloden Road (B9006) between the junctions of Caulfield Road and Tower Road to improve active travel. Works will include widening of the footway on the North side of Culloden Road by removing some roadside cobble stones and sections of grass verge and replacing them with tarmac.
There will also be improvement of road crossing points on the South side of Culloden Road to provide better access to the path in the North with drop kerbs, tactile paving and some surface repairs.
Work is scheduled to start around the 7 January 2025 and last for up to 8 weeks. Pat Munro Ltd is the appointed contractor and they will be carrying out the works and all pedestrian/traffic management.
