Highland Winter Road Conditions Report – Monday, 13 January 2025

The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time.  It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.

Highland Road Conditions Report for Monday, 13 January 2025 are as follows:   

Inverness (08:16) Positive temperatures this morning. No winter action required, and no known issues reported.

Badenoch and Strathspey (06:34) Positive temperatures throughout the area with wet roads due to snow and ice melt. No winter action required and no known overnight issues.

Nairn (06:34) Positive temperatures throughout the area with wet roads due to snow and ice melt. No winter action required and no known overnight issues.

East Ross-shire (09:08) Positive temperatures this morning. Roads are wet and no known issues reported.

Lochaber (08:01) Big increase in temperatures and no winter action required. Weather was wet and windy overnight with no known issues reported.

Sutherland (08:06) Positive road surface temperatures throughout the area. No winter action required, and no known overnight issues.

Caithness (07:46) High temperatures this morning and no winter action required. Roads are damp with no known overnight issues.

Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh (06:33) Temperatures have risen and no winter action required. No known overnight issues reported.

Skye and Raasay (06:42) Temperatures are warmer and weather is wet and windy this morning. No winter action required.
