Highland Council Seeks To Fill Two Top Posts

The Highland Council is seeking candidates to fill two positions on its senior management team. It is advertising to recruit an Assistant Chief Executive and a Director of Housing and Property. Both posts carry a salary of £100,000.

The closing date for applications is 26 October. Interviews for the Director of Housing and Property are scheduled for Friday 16 November and those for the Assistant Chief Executive will be on Friday 23 November.

The Director of Housing and Property will be responsible for housing policy, strategy and development, action on homelessness as well as property management, inspection and design.   The Council has a housing stock of 14,500 houses and a non-housing estate of 3,850 buildings on 1,000 principal sites.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Assistant Chief Executive will be responsible for a range of key corporate functions, such as Human Resources, Policy and Performance, E-Government  and Legal and Democratic Services.
