Gordon Terrace Inverness to remain closed for 18 months
Motorists are being advised that Gordon Terrace, Inverness, will remain closed for up to 18 months as the result of damage caused to a boundary retaining wall by a recent fire at the neighbouring Viewhill House.
The Highland Council has today (Thursday) published a traffic order setting out its intention to continue the temporary road closure restriction on Gordon Terrace, Inverness - between its junction with Culduthel Road and its con-junction with Ardconnel Street - which came into operation on 27 September.
An alternative route for vehicles will be available using Argyle Street, Ardconnel Street and Ardconnel Terrace. Pedestrians will be able to access Gordon Terrace from Culduthel Road, using the linking footsteps, but will be prohibited from using the section of footway on Gordon Terrace between the linking footsteps and the Gordon Terrace/Culduthel Road junction.
A copy of the Order and the relevant map can be inspected at The Highland Council, Diriebught Depot, 94 Diriebught Road, Inverness, IV2 3QN. These
documents are available for inspection free of charge Monday to Friday during the hours of 9am to 5pm.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order has 6 weeks to make application to the Court of Session.
