Road and Footpath Restructuring Along Drummond Road

A temporary road closure along part of Drummond Road in Inverness comes into place on Monday 7 April for a period of 3 weeks to allow for pavement and road reconstruction, street lighting renewal and the removal of overhanging vegetation.  Scottish Gas Networks will also use this opportunity to carry out mains renewal works.

The part of Drummond Road affected runs in a south-westerly direction from its junction with Culduthel Road to the northernmost junction with Glenburn Drive.

During the works an alternative route for vehicles will be available using part of Drummond Road, Broom Drive and Culduthel Road.  This temporary closure, which runs until 6pm on Sunday 27 April, affects vehicles only.  Access for pedestrians and cyclists will not be restricted and access for Emergency Vehicles will be controlled by the contractor.

The Highland Council has written to all local residents to advise them of the works.  During this 3 week period the No 27 bus route will be diverted along Culduthel Road where temporary bus stances will be put in place.
