Drummuie Opening
The phased opening of the Council’s new flagship office accommodation for East Sutherland at Drummuie, Golspie, begins on Monday 14 April, when Transport Environmental and Community Services staff currently working at Victoria Road, Brora, move into their new base.
Further moves to Drummuie will see Housing and Property, Planning and Development and Transport Environmental and Community Services staff from the Meadows, Dornoch, move on Monday 21 April; Education Culture and Sport staff from Johnstone Place, Brora and Social Work staff from Olsen House, Golspie move on Monday 28 April, and Chief Executive’s, Finance and Social Work staff from Main Street, Golspie, move on Monday 12 May.
Situated on the southern outskirts of Golspie, Drummuie has undergone a total refurbishment to provide modern office accommodation for up to 130 administrative and professional staff from a number of Council Services.
Drummuie was built in 1903 and most recently was a technical wing of Golspie High School.
The refurbishment has been carried out by Morrison Construction. A new access from the A 9 has been provided to Drummuie, which provides a link to the Kilbruar wind farm development and opens up land for affordable housing.
