Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management

The Highland Council has appointed Nigel Rose as its Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management.

Based within the Finance Service, Mr Rose joined the former Highland Regional Council in 1988 as an Auditor. At the reorganisation of local government in 1996, he became a Senior Auditor with The Highland Council.

He was promoted to Principal Auditor in 2000 and took over as acting Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management in April of this year when his predecessor, George Munro, retired.

He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
