Winter Festival helps Inverness Homeless

The  Highland Council's  Inverness Winter Festival Committee are pleased to announce that the St Andrew’s Day Torchlight Procession  from Inverness Castle to the Northern Meeting Park Arena raised £1 , 310 for the Inverness Homeless Trust.
 
It has hoped that the fundraising Torchlight Procession, which was suggested by the members of the  Council's  Inverness City Committee, will become a feature of future St Andrew’s Day celebrations in Inverness.
 
Winter Festival Steering Group Chair man  Councillor Roy Pedersen said “ The Torchlight Procession was one of the highlights of  the St Andrew's Day activities and I would like to thank all the families who turned up on the night and enabled us to raise so much money for such a very worthy cause . ”
