Grant Street Park Common Good Fund decision deferred

Members of The Highland Council’s Inverness City Committee today (4 February, 2008) considered a report on the current position regarding the leasing arrangements in place for Grant Street Park which is presently let to Clachnacuddin Football Club (1990) Ltd.

Noting the position detailed in the report, the Committee deferred a decision to instruct the Area Solicitor to serve formal notice of termination Clachnacuddin Football Club’s lease at Grant Street Park and recovery of possession of the premises on the basis of non-payment of rent.

The committee also agreed that the Inverness City Manager set up a working group with five other Inverness City Committee members including the Provost to report back to the next City committee on 17th March, 2008.
