Dingwall and Seaforth Ward Forum
The next Dingwall and Seaforth Ward Forum will take place on the 30th of January at 7.00 pm in the Council Offices, Dingwall. The main topic for discussion will be Community and Elderly Care.
Larry Wilmot, Highland Council’s Area Community Care Manager for Ross, Skye & Lochaber will give a presentation on Council services. The current Post Office closure consultation will also be on the agenda as will community safety with the Police present to give their regular update to the Forum.
Councillor Peter Cairns who will be chairing the meeting said: “This is an opportunity for people to come along and listen to the discussion of two of the most important issues currently facing the Ward - Community Care and the future of our post offices.
“Both of these vital services are facing huge challenges and it is only by working together that we can address them and shape the future to meet the needs of the community.
“The Ward Forum is the ideal place to address these issues as it can bring together all the elected representatives, public agencies and voluntary groups involved, in an open public forum.”
Although the Ward Forum is a formal meeting that is held in public, there will be a twenty minute question and answer session at the close of the meeting for the public to ask questions.
People with specific needs who wish to attend the Ward Forum should contact Liz Cowie, Highland Council Ward Manager (Dingwall & Seaforth), Council Offices, Dingwall in advance to advise of any requirements on tel: 01349 868681.
