Public Meeting Date Chosen for Saltburn PO Closure Debate
A public meeting is being held at Saltburn, Invergordon, on Wednesday 6 February when the local community will highlight their case for retaining the local post office.
In attendance to hear their pleas and answer questions will be representatives of Post Office Ltd, who have agreed to attend along with Postwatch Scotland.
The meeting is being held at Saltburn Hall, Saltburn, and commences at 6.30 pm.
It is being organised by the four Highland Councillors representing the area and Saltburn & Westwood Community Council.
Councillor Mike Finlayson said: “We know many people in the community are very much against closure because of the impact it will have, especially on elderly people. We want the Post Office to really understand the affect this closure could have and to reconsider their decision.”
Any one is welcome to attend the public meeting but can also respond directly to the Post Office’s consultation paper by either writing or emailing:
