Funding Help At the Touch Of A Button

Organisations such as community and voluntary groups, sports and other clubs, schools, social enterprises and small businesses are now able to search across a huge range of funding sources thanks to the launch of a free scheme.

The Highland Council has joined forces with GRANTnet to provide a searchable database of funding opportunities that range from European funds through to lottery awards and charitable trusts.

GRANTnet is free and available on http://www.www.highland.gov.uk/.  Users simply register their details and obtain a password in order to search the system for funds appropriate to their project.

The Highland Council’s Chairman of Planning, Environment and Development, Councillor Drew Hendry said:  “This is an excellent service and provides a wide and varied range of funding bodies.  It can be time consuming finding the right source of funding for your project and the benefit of this service is that it provides information on the full range of UK AND European Union support provision in a single searchable database, suitable for all types of organisations.”

Managing Director of GRANTfinder, John Dilworth added:  “GRANTnet is a logical extension of the GRANTfinder system which has been available for funding professionals for more than 20 years.  We recognise that to enable projects to reach fruition, there must be links between the organisations seeking funds, finding providers and people who are experienced in the grant application process.  With this in mind, GRANTnet was developed to provide the link between enquirers and the organisations able to help them.”
