Roadworks in Inverness

Motorists are advised of forthcoming short-term evening disruption to traffic movement to allow essential roadworks to take place in the city centre, Inverness.  Carriageway resurfacing works will be carried out to mark the completion of parts of the Streetscape works

On Tuesday (6 May), Fraser Street will be closed between Bank Street and Church Street to allow resurfacing works to take place.

On Wednesday 7 May and Thursday 8 May, resurfacing works on Bridge Street, High Street and Castle Street will take place between 8 pm and midnight each night. Traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic management.

On Friday 9 May, the traffic lights near the Town House/McDonalds will be reinstated.  Work is due to start at 8 pm and last for four to five hours. Again, traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic management.  Once these refurbished lights are in place they will be synchronised with the new pedestrian crossing on Bridge Street. Both sets of lights will go red together, giving maximum pedestrian crossing opportunities at this busy corner with minimum traffic delay.
