New Head Teacher for Ardnamurchan High School

Ardnamurchan High School, the newest secondary school in the Highlands, has a new head teacher. He is Christopher Millar-Craig, who has been acting head teacher of the 140-pupil school over the past year.

Christopher was one of the original teachers at the school, which opened in 2002, and was depute head teacher to Catherine MacDonald, now head teacher at Portree High School.

He was acting head teacher of Kinlochleven High School in 2006-7 before returning to Ardnamurchan in August 2007.

Christopher was educated at Golspie High School and is a Gaelic speaker. His specialist teaching subjects are physics and mathematics.

Before moving to Ardnamurchan, he taught at Forres Academy, where he was principal teacher of physics and acting assistant head teacher.
