New Recycling Centre For Dingwall To Open

Dingwall residents will soon be able to conveniently recycle more of their household waste with the opening of a new Recycling Centre in the town on Wednesday 16 November.

Built by The Highland Council using money from the Scottish Strategic Waste Fund, the new Recycling Centre, situated in the Dingwall Business Park, will employ two new members of staff and be open 7 days a week.

Householders will be able to take cans, car batteries, cardboard, electrical appliances, engine oil, garden waste, gas cylinders, glass bottles & jars, paper, rubble & soil, scrap metal, textiles, tyres, white goods and wood to the site where separate containers and skips will be available for the material to be recycled. A container will also be provided to collect donations of unwanted furniture and household goods which will be passed on to the Blythswood charity for reuse.
