Lane widening, Telford Street, Inverness

Motorists and pedestrians are being advised that construction works relating to the new ALDI store on Telford Street, Inverness starting on Monday 8 September, 2008 will impact upon traffic flow and pedestrian movements.

‘Balfour Beatty/Raynesway Construction’ is to carry out lane widening works on Telford Street at the approach to the Telford Street Roundabout.

Temporary Traffic Management measures will be in operation in order to provide a safe working area and to maintain public safety.

The Highland Council hopes that impacts on vehicular movement will be kept to a minimum as two-way traffic flow is to be maintained at all times during the construction phase, which is expected to last for up to 3 weeks.

Pedestrians will not be able to use the footway, adjacent to the ALDI site, while the works are in progress. The site working hours are 08:00 to 17:30hrs Monday to Friday.
