Depute Provosts elected for Inverness

The Highland Council’s Inverness City Committee has elected two Depute Provosts to assist Provost Jimmy Gray.

They are Councillor Alex Graham, Inverness West and Councillor Peter Corbett, Inverness Central.

The roles of Depute Provost will not be remunerated, other than for actual expenses incurred. 

As Depute Provosts, Councillors Graham and Corbett will deputise for the Provost (at his discretion) in respect of all civic functions of the post.  The Provost’s attendance at civic functions varies between 150 – 200 each year.
