Pilot Initiative Invitation

In Alness following feedback from residents groups, they will be more proactive in educating communities about the dangers of illegal bonfires in the approach to next years Guy Fawkes Night.

Stephen Callan, Assistant Area Housing Manager for Ross and Cromarty said all the communities concerned have been kept involved every step of the way and this is just another step in making sure the initiative is working at a very local level.

"We are again inviting residents of Coulpark, Firhill, Kirkside, Milnafua and Westford in Alness and South Lodge in Invergordon to any of the two public meetings to review the initiative," he said.

"These six-monthly reviews have helped us shape the Community Warden Service so it is responsive to feedback from residents, so getting the views of each community remains as vital as ever," he said.

Residents are invited to attend any of the following events:

If you can’t attend any of the meetings, you are invited to post your comments to Donna MacKenzie, Principal Housing Officer, Alness Service Point, Market Square House, Obsdale Road, Alness, by Wednesday 4 January 2006.
