ASDA Planning Decision

The Highland Council has been notified of the Scottish Ministers’ decision to confirm approval of ASDA’s planning application at Slackbuie, Inverness. The Council welcomes the decision but is disappointed that there is no reference to planning gain in relation to road improvements – which is the main and significant difference from the decision taken by The Highland Council in relation to the ASDA application.

The Council’s officers are currently examining the options available to the Council in relation to this decision, which include further discussions with ASDA on road improvements and the possibility and implications of a legal challenge.
