Public to have their say on Beauly Square improvements

Members of the public are being invited to have their say on environmental improvements to Beauly Square on Wednesday 2nd September.

The Highland Council’s Planning and Development Service has around £62,000 allocated within its capital programme for environmental improvements to the area and are inviting comments on how these funds might be spent.

Local Highland Councillors and Council Officers will be manning a mobile exhibition unit in the Square (2nd September) between 1pm and 7pm and will have plans, questionnaires and time to listen to anyone who has a view on potential improvements.

They would like to hear the views of residents, businesses and visitors about what they think is good or bad about the Square and what changes they might like to see in the future.

Commenting on the consultation, Highland Councillor Helen Carmichael said: “This consultation, right in the heart of the village, will give an excellent opportunity for members of the public to make their views and priorities for Beauly Square known to the Council. They will have the chance to talk to staff and Councillors and contribute to the decision making process.”
