Savvy shopper Catherine – knows her consumer rights

Inverness shopper, Catherine Mackie, won top prize in The Highland Council Trading Standards ‘Know Your Consumer Rights Quiz’ held during National Consumer Week 2009 at Eastgate Shopping Centre, Inverness.

Catherine Mackie received £100 of ‘Arcadia’ shopping vouchers from Mark McGinty, Scottish Trading Standards Institute Chairman during the recent Scottish Trading Standards Institute Conference held in Inverness.

Other prizes included a £50 Marks and Spencers Giftcard (kindly donated by Marks & Spencers Stores plc); a hardback copy of Dan Browns most recently published novel, ‘The Lost Symbol’ (kindly donated by Waterstones plc) and a box of luxury Thorntons chocolates.
