Toy exhibition opening hours extended

The Inverness Winter Festival Organisers have announced that the opening hours of the Victorian Market’s Old Toy Exhibition are to be extended to cater for public demand. Organised by the members of the Inverness Local History Forum, the exhibition was originally scheduled to be open from noon to 3pm on Saturday and Sundays during the first three weeks in December. However, the arrival of more than 1,000 visitors last weekend and the receipt of a number of requests early this week has resulted in arrangements being put in place for the Exhibition to be opened from Thursday to Sunday commencing tomorrow (December 10th).

The new extended opening hours are:-

Thursday 10 December – 10am – 3:30pm
Friday 11 December -10am– 4 pm
Saturday 12 December -    10am – 4pm
Sunday 13 December noon – 3 pm
Thursday 17 December – 10am – 3.30pm
Friday 18 December -10am – 4 pm
Saturday 19 December – 10am – 4 pm
Sunday 20 December -  noon – 3 pm.

Inverness Winter Festival Organiser Councillor  Peter Corbett said:  “We were delighted with the interest that was shown in the Toy Exhibition over the opening weekend in the Victorian Market and we are very grateful to the members of the Inverness Local History Forum for volunteering to more than double the hours it will be open at such short notice.”
