Love is in the cold crisp air!

This Valentine’s Day, Highland Council Countryside Rangers are inviting people to get out of the house and enjoy the crisp winter weather and join them on a ‘Love is in the Air – Valentine walk’.

This light hearted, free, family friendly event begins at 2pm and lasts for approximately 2 hours. The walk is approximately 3km/2miles long at Abriachan.

Katy Martin, Highland Council Ranger said: “It’s a great chance for people to come along, get some fresh air and discover how people used plants and animals to forecast their prospects in love and happiness over the centuries. It will be fun for all the family. However with this cold weather people need to dress warmly and wear sturdy footwear.”

The Highland Council Rangers are grant aided by Scottish Natural Heritage. The role of Countryside Rangers is to promote public enjoyment and appreciation of the countryside and to conserve wildlife and habitats
