Go-Ahead Given For Ness-side Commercial District Centre
Tesco Stores Ltd’s application for the development of a Commercial District Centre on land at Ness-side, which will include retail stores, a doctor’s surgery, a community building and a petrol filling station, was approved today by The Highland Council’s Planning, Environments and Development Committee.
On 2nd December 2008 the Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey Planning Applications and Review Committee granted planning consent for the development but a Notice of Amendment, signed by 9 members, was received on 5 December.
The Amendment was presented this morning at the Council’s Planning, Environment and Development Committee and, following a debate, members of the Committee voted 14 votes to 5 in favour of the original motion to grant consent.
