Faeries To Feature At Local Library

On Thursday (25 June) Rag Tag n Textiles will be setting up a faery exhibition in Dingwall library during the regular Rhymetime session for mothers and babies.

Sithichean Sgraiteach, The Raggy Faeries exhibition was developed by Rag Tag ‘n’ Textile as part of a literacy project, funded by the Highland Adult Literacy Project and features faeries, faerie homes, stories and eye-catching hangings made from recycled items and willow wood.

The exhibition will be on display in Dingwall library until 16 July.  A special song and story session linked to faeries and the environment for children aged 5 and over will take place on the 16th at 2.30pm.

Area Libraries Officer Alison Forrest said:  “I am sure the exhibition will prove to be very popular for all ages.  There are many myths and legends in our culture that feature faeries and it will be a great chance to see how waste materials can be recycled into magical characters.”

Rag Tag ‘n’ Textile is a social firm based in Skye and Lochalsh, who work with people who are recovering from mental health problems and everything they make and sell generates income for our charity.
