East Sutherland and Edderton Ward Forum to Focus on Community Safety

The next East Sutherland and Edderton Ward Forum will take place at 7.30pm on Monday 29 June in Brora Community Centre to discuss the community safety issues in East Sutherland and Edderton Ward.

The Forum will be attended by PC Angie Grant-omotosho, Northern Constabulary’s Community Safety Officer; Pol McClelland, The Highland Council’s Youth Justice Resource Manager; William Scott, Assistant District Manager of Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service and James Sanderson, the Council’s Education and Enforcement Officer. They will discuss community safety from the perspective of their own roles and will also answer questions from members of the Forum and the public.

Councillor Deirdre Mackay, who will be chairing the Forum, said: “The Forum offers a real opportunity for people to hear about community safety and the challenges faced in the Ward. The Forum will also offer unparalleled access to key people dealing with the safety of the East Sutherland and Edderton community. I am looking forward to hosting a lively debate and hope that people take the opportunity to get their views across.”

As with all Ward Forums, there will also be an opportunity to discuss any issues of concern that members of the public wish to raise.
