Road Closures During City Race For Life Event

Drivers in Inverness are being advised that temporary road closures will be in place during the Inverness Race For Life event which takes place on Sunday 10 May.

The following roads will be closed on Sunday to all vehicles from 10.00am to 1.00pm

• Bught Road closed at its junction with Whin Park to its con-junction with Ness Walk Upper

• Ness Walk Upper closed at its con-junction with Bught Road to its junction with Bishop’s Road

• Ardross Terrace closed at its con-junction with Ness Walk and its con-junction with Ardross Street

• Ness Walk closed at its junction with Young Street to its con-junction with Ardross Terrace

From 10.00am to 12.30pm Castle Road will be closed at its junction with Haugh Road and its junction with Bridge Street.

From 10.00 to 10.50am Ness Bank and Cavell Gardens Road will be closed to through traffic between its junction with Castle Road and its junction with Island Bank Road. Access to local properties will be maintained from the junction with Castle Road. This road will, from 10.50am to 12.00 noon, also be closed to through traffic between its junction with Castle Road and its junction with Island Bank Road.

Alternative routes for vehicles will be available and will be clearly sign-posted.  Access for pedestrians will not be restricted and emergency vehicles access will be maintained at all times.
