Ross House, Dingwall

The Highland Council is endeavouring to minimise disruption caused by the loss of the use of telephones and computers at its office accommodation at Ross House, High Street, Dingwall.

Following the accidental damage to cables linking County Buildings to Ross House on Monday, telephone numbers at Ross House were promptly diverted to maintain service delivery.

It was hoped that emergency repairs could allow early restoration of services but the fault will take until next week to be repaired and most of the 60 staff based at Ross House have now been relocated to other Council office accommodation.

The Service Point will remain operational at Ross House – using manual processes – and staff have the use of mobile telephones to contact Services.

No other properties have been affected by the damage to the cables.
