Pupils Prepare To Raise Funds At Vintage Rally

Pupils from Daviot Primary School are busy preparing for the Strathnairn Agricultural Vintage Rally which takes place on Saturday 19th September.

Local businesses have donated prizes to help the 24 pupil school manage to raise funds for activities and special projects.  Pupils themselves are busy organising everything they need to run the school stall on the day.  A Tombola, Lucky Dip, Treasure Hunt, Hook a Duck, Beanbag Target and guessing games will be on offer as well as the sale of Home Baking, second hand books and bags of sweeties.

Head Teacher Fiona Shearer said:  Last year we made a total of £670 which was a fantastic amount as we are a small school.  Our Pupil Council have written to local businesses to ask for donations and we have been delighted with the response. On behalf of the whole school I would to like the thank everyone for their support and we look forward to a very busy but fun day. This is our main fundraising event of the school year.  We hope lots of people can come along on the day to support our stall and the Vintage Rally.”

Tesco, Lifescan, Baxters, Walkers, Bridgemill Direct, Chisholms Precast & Jack Contracts in Nairn, Geddes Insurance in Nairn, Boots, Vue Cinema, Ashers Bakery, Co-Op Tradespark in Nairn and CPM Plant Services have all given the school donations for the  stall.

The Strathnairn Agricultural Vintage Rally will start at 10am on Saturday 19 September.
