Proposed New Primary School for Milton of Leys, Inverness

The Highland Council is holding a meeting next week to advise parents and members of the community resident in Milton of Leys of plans for a new primary school.

The meeting is being held at Inshes Primary School, Inverness, on Tuesday 22 September, starting at 7.30 pm. Councillor John Holden will be chairman.

The purpose of the meeting is to report on progress with planning for the new school, which is earmarked to open by August 2011. The estimated cost of the school is £6 million.

A statutory consultation is expected to be held later in the year over the location of the proposed school and its catchment area.

Parents and interested parties will have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the meeting.
