Temporary closure of road bridge in Alness

The road bridge which crosses the Averon River in Alness will be closed between 7pm - 9.30pm on Wednesday 11 August for a routine inspection of the bridge.

During this period, an alternative route for drivers will be available via the A9 trunk road. Access for emergency services will be maintained and pedestrians are asked to follow the signs giving a safe route across the footbridge next to the main road bridge.
