Medal winners achievements officially recognised
During the reception Area Chairman, Councillor Carolyn Wilson presented each of the athletes with a commemorative glass medal from the Council to mark their achievements.
She said: "The whole Highland team put on a great show at the Special Olympics coming home with 73 medals. This impressive medal tally was aided by the Ross and Cromarty athletes who all came home with an award.
"Tonight is a chance to congratulate the athletes on their sporting success and to recognise their hard work and commitment as well as the support given to them by their families, coaches and carers. On behalf of the Area Committee we wish them well in their preparations for the next Games in 4 years time."
