School catchment areas to be reviewed
Councillors heard that, due to population changes within areas of Inverness, accommodation pressure is currently being experienced at Holm and Cradlehall primary schools. These population pressures, members were informed, were expected to increase due to the high level of building work of new homes in the area.
Members approved a review of the catchment areas of Holm, Lochardil, Cauldeen, Cradlehall, and Smithton primary schools.
Members of the City of Inverness and Area ECS Committee will now be asked to consider the detailed terms of the consultation.
