Planning Committee confirms previous decision for change of use at Croy site

Members of The Highland Council’s Planning, Environment and Development Committee have today (11 Feb 2010) confirmed the decision made by the Inverness, Nairn and Badenoch and Strathspey Planning Applications Committee on 19 January to grant full planning permission for the change of use of an existing business at Parkhead, Mains of Kilravock, Croy.

The application was for permission to change the current operation on the site of rearing broiler chickens to one involving the processing and packaging of filleted fish.

An amendment to reverse the original decision was put forward by Councillor Glenyis Sinclair and seconded by Councillor John Holden.  It was defeated by 14 votes to 7.
