Education PPP2 Contract

Members were told today (Thursday) that the project has progressed very positively over the last few months and remains within the affordability level set by the Council. Full planning permission has been obtained for the 11 sites and all the necessary site acquisition issues have been addressed, with all sites in the Council’s ownership.

Still to be confirmed is the "sign off" from both Audit Scotland and the Scottish Executive.

The indicative programme would see the following schools built (ie Inshes Primary School would be the first project built):-

The estimated cost of the 11 schools is £130 million.
