Inverness Traditional Music Classes – Clasaichean Ceòl Traidiseanta Inbhir Nis

The Highland Council is urging people of all ages to join in traditional music, song and dance classes which are currently taking place in Inverness until the 25 march 2010.

Places are still available in some of the 10-week series of classes which started on Monday 11 January. Twenty five classes are taking place in five different venues in Inverness with some 250 people of all ages enjoying tuition.

Classes are being offered in fiddle, whistle, chanter, accordion, bodhran, piping, guitar, mandolin, keyboard and ceilidh dancing. New monthly Informal Sessions are held on Saturday afternoons at Millburn Academy for players of all levels.  Including a Song Workshop with Fiona J Mackenzie on 20 February – places are available at the sessions and workshops
