Inverness City Forum – Tuesday 26 January 2010

The Highland Council wishes to clarify that the main focus of business at the forthcoming ward forum at the Town House, Inverness,  will be policing in the city.

The forum, which starts at 6.30 pm, is part of a programme of City Forums which addresses issues that cut across the boundaries of the seven City Wards. Representatives from Northern Constabulary will be present to explain how they recognise the specific needs of the city when deciding how to devolve resources and will be looking for feedback on how communities can support them in their duties. 

The Council’s budget situation will not be discussed, as previously indicated in the news release issued on Monday 18 January. This discussion will take place at a later time.
