Temporary road closures during two Highland endurance events
The Highland Cross 2010 event takes place on Saturday 19 June and drivers are been warned that temporary restrictions will be in place from 11am to 4pm along the Glen Affric Road.
The C1112 Glen Affric Road will be closed to vehicles from its junction with the C1110 Cannich to Fasnakyle and Kerrow Wood road and its end at the north side of the bridge over the Asbhainn Gleann nam Fiadh. Pedestrian access and access or emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Two weeks later on Saturday 3 July the Corrieyairack Challenge charity event will be held and temporary road closures will be in place on various roads in the Inverness area.
From 9:30am to 10am; and 11am to 11:20am the B862 Fort Augustus – Inverness Road will be closed at its junction with the A82 Glasgow – Fort William – Inverness Trunk Road, to its junction with the U139 Ardachy Road, Fort Augustus.
Also, from 9am to 12noon the U1667 Ardachy Road, Fort Augustus will be closed at its junction with the A82 Glasgow – Fort William – Inverness Trunk Road to its junction with the B862 Fort Augustus – Inverness Road.
The U2104 Laggan to Garvamore to Melgarve Road will be closed from 9am to 5pm from the eastern end of Garva Bridge to its termination at the ford on the Allt Feith a Mhoraire.
Alternative routes for drivers will be signposted.
