Stephen’s Street Rejuvenation, Inverness

Works on the last phase of the Inverness City Streetscape Project  - in the Crown area - will soon see contractor M M Miller (Wick) Ltd preparing to carry out work on a short section of Ardconnel Terrace, adjacent to Stephen’s Street, to feature new paving, kerbing, road crossings and replacement street lighting.  This work is in conjunction with works already underway and continuing on Stephen’s Street.

To be able to undertake these works in a safe manner, it will be necessary to close a section of Ardconnel Terrace for a period of three weeks commencing on Monday 21 June between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Saturday.  During the period of the temporary road closure, the remainder of Ardconnel Terrace will revert to two way traffic operation to provide access for residents only.  Appropriate signing will be installed during the 3-week period to indicate the closures. However, motorists are asked to avoid this location if at all possible.

Representatives from the Council and the contractor will shortly commence a series of visits to properties that are likely to be affected by the temporary traffic arrangements to explain the details of what is being carried out and find out and resolve any concerns that residents may have that may result from the temporary traffic arrangements.

The Council would like to request the continued co-operation and assistance of the public during the works and give an assurance that every effort will be made to limit any inconvenience.
