Dingwall Heritage Discussion

The Dingwall History Society and The Highland Council have been working in partnership to commission a Conservation Area Appraisal for Dingwall.

As part of the appraisal process, the History Society is presenting an opportunity to hear Andrew Wright, one of Scotland's leading conservation architects, share his thoughts on what makes the historic buildings and townscape of Dingwall unique.

In an illustrated talk Mr Wright will address what has survived of the historic growth of the Burgh, and will seek opinions on the merits of extending the designated Conservation Area.

The potential benefits from securing enhanced funding for the repair of the burgh's historic buildings, and of enhancing the public realm, will also be evaluated.

The event, which is free, will be held in Dingwall Lower Town Hall on Thursday 11th March at 7.15 pm and refreshments will be provided.  The Conservation Area Appraisal is supported by The Highland Council Dingwall and Seaforth Ward Discretionary Budget and LEADER.
