Discussions on Mod funding in the Highlands

A meeting was held today (Thursday) between senior representatives of The Highland Council and An Comunn Gaidhealtachd to discuss arrangements for the funding of future Royal National Mods held in the Highlands.

The Council delegation was led by Leader of the Administration Councillor Michael Foxley and Gaelic Committee Chairman Hamish Fraser.

The An Comunn delegation was led by President John MacLeod.

Councillor Foxley said: “We hope to finalise an agreement on arrangements for future Mods held in the Highlands at a further meeting to be held as quickly as is practicable.”
