Inverness West Ward Forum addresses winter maintenance

Winter maintenance is the topic for discussion at The Highland Council’s Inverness West Ward Forum being held at the Council Chamber, Council Headquarters, Inverness on Thursday (18th March), starting at 6.30 pm.

The Forum is to be chaired by Highland Councillor Alex Graham, who is hoping for a good attendance at the meeting.

He said: “Our Council services were faced with unprecedented challenges during the recent spell of extremely bad weather. We’ll be inviting feedback on how well the Council performed, and also hope the Forum generates some positive ideas to enable improved response in the future.”

The main speaker is Richard Evans, the Council’s Area Roads and Community Works Manager.

Later on the agenda, Northern Constabulary, Inverness Area Commander Chief Inspector Andrew Maclean is providing an update on community safety and there is a 20-minute open “question and answer” slot towards the end. The Forum is open to all to attend.

Anyone with an enquiry about their Forum; would like to submit questions in advance of the meeting; or have any special requirements/needs to help them take part, can contact Stewart Wardlaw at Inverness Town House or by phoning 01463 724378 or by emailing stewart.wardlaw@highland.gov.uk
